The new leader is Dr. Elizabeth Weir (Torri Higginson), a role that is neither especially well-written nor well-played. Just a case of they had ideas for the character -- but the actress didnt want to commit really is what I gather from wikipedia. Watching the SG1 episode where they first introduce Dr Weir before Atlantis started. I kinda like the new Dr. Weir more anyways. Yeah it's kind of painful. I prefer Steen to Tori.
